Created in 2003 by Louvain-la-Neuve Science Park and Crealys, SPoW (Science Parks of Wallonia) is the network of the 6 science parks located in Wallonia, the Southern part of Belgium.

SPoW is a de facto association with a light structure, which functionates on the basis of an operational committee and a board of directors, composed of representatives from the Universities and from the local development agencies (called "Intercommunales"), involved together in the science parks' management.

The main goals of SPoW are:

  • Promotion of the Science Parks
  • Innovation: regional and international marketing of scientific knowledge and innovation in Wallonia
  • Economic development: support to innovative companies
  • Networking: between science parks management teams, companies, research units, ...

No matter what their size, background or area of specialisation, all the science parks in Wallonia share one common objective: to host companies that focus first and foremost on high-tech products or services and university-industry relations.

By being part of SPoW, our members are becoming much stronger players, not only in Belgium but all around the world.
